What Is Resume Rebranding and Why Is It Important to My Job SearchResume branding is a critical concept when developing an interview-worthy resume. It differentiates you from your competitors and truly highlights the unique value that you bring to employers. Rebranding your resume simply means that youre taking your original, branded resume and you are tweaking it for each different standort that you apply to so that you become the best match possible for each particular position.Why is rebranding so critical?Rebranding or targeting each resume to the specific position for which you are applying is so critical because a generic resume doesnt prove that youre a perfect match for the position. If youre applying for an engineering position but submitting an IT resume, you obviously arent the perfect match for the job. Each resume you submit should be customized for the position. Below are a few areas to retarget The job target/title at the top of your resume The branding/career summary at the beginning of the resume Reordering the key skills/bullet points so that the fruchtwein relevant are first and thus catch the readers eye. Rewording accomplishment statement to put the critical and most relevant information first. Reordering your bullet points for each position so that the most relevant bullets come first.Remember its always a good idea to make a few adjustments to your resume before you submit it so that you are always putting your best foot forwardthus presenting yourself as the best possible match for the job.
